Objective Fiction has appointed GameFace and Witless producer, Charlotte Lewis, as its Head of Comedy.

Joining Objective as producer in 2013, Charlotte developed and produced all three series of BBC Three’s Rose D’Or nominated comedy-thriller Witless, which has recently been optioned by CBS Studios with a US version of the series being developed by Objective Fiction and Funny Or Die. Charlotte also developed and produced series one of Roisin Conaty's critically acclaimed C4 series GameFace. She then executive produced its second series, which was nominated in the Edinburgh TV Awards Best Comedy category 2020.

Charlotte said: “I'm beyond delighted to be helming the comedy department. It's a joy to work alongside such an incredibly talented team and I'm looking forward to building on Objective Fiction's track record of brilliant shows.”

Beginning her career in comedy entertainment, working in both production and development for Objective and various other companies including Hat Trick, Talkback and Roughcut, Charlotte has most recently been an in-house executive for Objective Fiction.

Charlotte will work alongside Head of Development Kelly McGolpin. Objective Fiction, which was launched by Ben Farrell in 2016, specialises in original scripted content. Its stand-out series include Channel 4’s Year of the Rabbit and the acclaimed Netflix and Channel 4 show Feel Good.

Ben Farrell added: “I’m delighted Charlie has agreed to take on this role. She’s an outstanding producer, and I can’t think of anyone more qualified to take Objective Fiction forward in the comedy genre.”
